The Rules
How this contest will run Split into 3 phases: 1. Nomination Phase - Nominate as many entries as you'd like. Songs from the same visual novel but on different platforms are allowed (e.g. PC/Xbox/PS4 OP). To nominate an entry, enter the song name in the "Song Name" field, the visual novel the song originated from in the "Source" field, and paste a link to an appropriate image link in the "Link to Picture" field. If in doubt, just paste the image link of the vndb entry (E.g. https://s2.vndb.org/cv/77/24277.jpg). Do check for duplicates before nominating. Edited nominations will be subject to approval. Please indicate if it is an OP, an ED, insert song, theme song, or OST (if song has no lyrics), and which platform/version it came from (ONLY if there are different songs on separate platforms/versions for the same VN), by enclosing them in brackets after the song name. If a VN was only released on 1 platform, then there is no need to indicate which platform it is from. If unsure, check the vndb page for the VN and check which version/platform the song belongs to. Examples: Howl To The Future (PC OP), Metamorphose (Xbox 360 OP), Uruwashiki Sekai (ED), Karma (OST). This period will last for 48 hours (possibly longer if not enough entrants). 2. Elimination Phase - All nominees will be lumped into a single group. Vote for your favorite songs here. The more votes a song has, the higher the seed it will have in the voting phase, which can be advantageous. This period will last for 48 hours. 3. Voting Phase - In each round, 1 song will be paired against another song, based on seeding. 1st seed will be paired against the last seed, 2nd seed will be paired against the 2nd last seed, and so on. If votes for each song are equal, the song with the higher seed moves on to the next round. This is the reason why seeding can be advantageous for an entry. Each round lasts for 24 hours. If you don't know a song, you may listen to the song with the link provided, and judge it based on the video, even if you have not read the visual novel that the song originates from.
